    an update type thingy
So, my subject lines just keep getting more and more creative by the minute. Maybe I should sue the pants off of any of y'all who write an entry and use it cause it's mine, Lol! So, for whatever reason, I'm really really bouncy today. I haven't been this bouncy in I can't remember how long, but hey, I won't question it, I'll just enjoy it. This week, I'm headed off to Baltimore to train some people. I'm seriously not looking forward to this, but hey, they're paying me for it, and a Stephanie with money is a happy Stephanie. Thankfully, I'll only be gone from Sunday until Tuesday, so that's not so bad, and it's on the company dime which is never a bad thing. I can even deal with the fact that they're giving me a day and a half to train what other classes got a week to learn. I've recently found another show that I'm getting adicted to. Again, for most of you, it's probably old hat, but I've recently started really getting into the show House. Dr. House is an absolute jerk but I love him as a character even though he spends a good majority of his time popping pills. Not exactly the kind of doctor that I'd want operating on my brain if I ever had a tumor, but hey, as long as he's only on the tube, he's fine. I also love how he'll go through about a million different diagnoses before he finally comes up with the right illness and how the meds he gives usually about have his patients on the verge of croaking because he got their sicknesses wrong, but again, he's only on the tube so he's entertaining. Today, I tried something that was extremely yummy! I had a frozen molka capuccino and man was it ever good! Those things could get adictive! Other than that, it's just been work and work and more work. I suppose I'll stop rambling for now. Take care, y'all!

    A strange dream
Usually, I don't remember my dreams because they're pretty boring and blah, but last night, I had one that made absolutely no sense at all. Last night, I dreamed that Jesse, my roommate, brought home, of all things, a baby elephant, and expected me to take care of the thing. Why I had this dream is totally beyond me, and, for the record, it's totally unrealistic considering that we live in a 2 bedroom apartment and there's no way an elephant would fit in my bedroom, which, in the dream, is where he wanted me to keep it. So, when I woke up, my mind was sorting out what was dream and what wasn't, and, I was lying there, trying to figure out how we were going to take the elephant out to go to the bathroom. I know they say that dreams are based on things that are on the brain, but, I've never even given elephants a second thought, not even in my subconscious mind so I have no idea where in the world that came from vut just thought I'd share.

    Musings of the sleep deprived
Yes, folks, your eyes are not deceiving you, you read the subject line correctly. I'm actually going to write an entry while running on about 3 hours sleep, so let's see how disjointed this will come out to be, Lol! You're probably wondering why I'm running on such little sleep, and, I'll explain all that in a bit, actually, this is the second time in less than a week that I've been sleep deprived. Blame it all on vacation. Last Tuesday, which would have been the 7TH of July, I left for vaction which is all good and well, except in order to get a reasonable flight, I had to leave at 6:50 in the morning. My other option would have been to have left at around 10 AM but that would have given me a majorly long layover and I suppose I'm just not that patient. So, since the flight left at 6:50 AM, this meant that I had to leave for the airport at just after five in the morning. Needless to say, I was running on about 2 hours sleep. I did manage to have myself a wonderful vacation, and got to catch the movie of My Sister's Keeper. It was a great movie, but I really think I would have liked it a lot better if I hadn't read the book first, although, I must say that I like the way the movie ended better than the way the book ended. But still, the movie left out one of the main characters in the book which kind of surprised me, considering that this particular character added a hole other element to the story, but, overall, the movie wasn't bad. I also got to go to a water park which was a total blast. Gotta love water parks. Yeah, I know, I'm 28 and still love swimming and water parks, guess someone better get out the lynching mob and send them to my door, Lol, but seriously, it was a blast. I love water slides and wave pools and those sorts of things. I was sort of hoping I'd be able to go to the amusement park that's right next door to the water park, but that didn't happen just because it was too hot to be walking around an amusement park, but hey, maybe next time. Besides, I haven't been on a roller coaster since the summer of 2003 so who knows how I'd react to it now, Lol! Now on to the subject of the entry, yeah, I'm finally getting there, Lol! So last night, it was time to come back home. We got to the airport in plenty of time, only to be told that our flight was going to be late taking off because of nasty weather in Atlanta. Atlanta is where my layover was supposed to be. At first, we were told that it'd only be about a twenty minute delay. And, true to their word, they started boarding about 20 to 30 minutes later than scheduled. Well, once we were all on the plane, the very very hot plane, I might add, they told us we'd have to wait an hour to take off for Atlanta because of the weather situation. So, we all sat there roasting on the plane for an hour. So, at the end of that hour, we were told that we'd have to wait for another hour to board the plane, but, thankfully, the pilot let us deplane for awhile. I think we waited for about another couple of hours before the plane finally was allowed to take off for Atlanta, so, I didn't actually arrive in to Atlanta until just after midnight. I was supposed to have been there at around 8:30, so, yep, I was about 4 hours late or so. Then, I found out that my flight back here to Richmond was not going to leave until 3:30 in the morning! Needless to say, by that time, I was pretty tired, and, I'd reached the point where anything and everything seemed funny and I was giggling at everything. When you fly through Atlanta, they make sure that you get a healthy dose of CNN and this time was no acception. I was giggly to the point where I thought there was something hilariously funny about the president taking a trip to Africa. Yeah, this was a definite sign that I needed more sleep. So, I finally got home at around 6 in the morning and had just laid down to get some sleep when maintainance showed up to the apartment to do some work. Thankfully, they left me alone and I dozed on and off, but, I'm seriously hoping for some decent sleep tonight because I do have work in the morning. Alright, I suppose I've rambled enough for one day, but, I think there'll be a much deeper entry coming up regarding a conversation that I had with my mother and some of her opinions that I find to be a bit disturbing. Until next time, y'all take care.

    A long overdue update
Yes, I know it's been awhile, but, up until a few weeks ago, I really didn't have much of substance to write about. A couple of weeks ago, actually, it was the week of memorial day to be exact, I was talking with a really good friend of mine. For about the past year, I've been talking on-line with [info]dtccgrad and we've always gotten along really really well. She actually only lives a few hours away from me, but, work schedules and such have always managed to get in the way of us actually getting to meet. Well, the week after memorial day, she had several days in a row where she didn't have to work, so, on the Sunday after memorial day, after she got off work, she hopped on a train and made her way to visit me. We had a total blast, just talking and laughing and getting to know each other better. She's exactly the same in person as she is on-line. Actually, no, I'll take that back, she's even cooler in person than she is on-line. She's like a little sister to me. We always used to say that when we would chat on-line, but, now that I've actually met her in person, I can truly say that. She's the kind of friend that I can just laugh at silly random things with, and, it doesn't matter how silly their are. We mainly just hung out here, but we did go out to OCharley's on the last night of her visit and she treated [info]toonhead and I to dinner. We had a complete and total blast, and, when it came time for her to leave, it was really sad. It felt like I'd just finally gotten to meet and hang out with a really cool person only to have them have to leave. So, I'm hoping to God that she can come back soon and visit. We really can't wait another year to get to hang out again. Other than that, life has just been filled with the usual things, work, broadcasting, and all that other great stuff. Well, think I'm gonna run and watch the rest of tonight's episode of Army Wives.

    an awsome day!
Well, today was an awsome day. For starters, the weather was absolutely beautiful. There's just something about being able to have the windows open that puts me in a good mood. Being able to hear all the hustling and bustling that goes on outside, along with the fresh air just always puts me in a good mood. This evening, I went with [info]toonhead to visit a couple of friends. While we were at their house, we had these two awsome pizzas from dominos. One of them was their Memphis Barbecued chicken pizza, and, the other was a chicken bacon ranch pizza which has ranch dressing instead of pizza sauce. Both were awsome. I'd never had ranch dressing on a pizza before, but, I'm finding that I like it a lot. Then, after dinner, my friend Dana showed me these two awsome kitchen gadgets which I've decided that I just have to have. One of them is called a hot shot, which is basically this little device where you pour an almost full coffee mug of water into the front of it. You then close the lid and set the empty mug on this little slot that looks sort of like a hot plate. You then push a button which heats up your water. Once that's done, you push this other little button that dispenses the hot water down into the cup. Then, her boyfriend showd me this one cup coffee maker, it's sort of like a coffee pod, and I can't remember what it's called right now, but I'm definitely going to be getting one. Other than that, I've just spent the day relaxing. I'm pretty happy because tomorrow starts the brand new season of Law and Order Criminal Intent, and there's nothing quite like a good crime show, I just love those. Well, I'm outta here for now. Take care, all.

    Something I'm curious about
OK, so I'm sure this is probably totally impossible, but, I'm going to throw the question out here and hope maybe someone knows. Tonight, our maintainance man had to come over and fix something. While he was hear, his cel phone rang, and, the ringer he had was one of the old fashioned type ringers, the type that you'd hear on the old rrodery dial phones. For those on the friends list who are too young to remember them, they're the old phones where you actually had to stick your finger in the dial holes to dial the numbers. I've always loved those phones, and, I'm wondering if there's anywhere where I can find one. Yeah, I know, totally old-fashioned, totally not modern, but, they remind me of when I was a kid and I'd hang out at people's houses that had them. They still used them as far back as the '80's, and, I wouldn't mind having one, if nothing else, for old time's sake. OK, now that I've totally dated myself I think I'd better get on out of here and contemplate some shut eye.

    Easter happenings
First off, I want to say happy Easter to all of you who celebrate it. I had an awsome dinner, it was just the best. We had ham, garlic mashed potatos, green beans, mac and cheese, and hot rolls. Everything turned out just perfectly, I could not have asked for it to go better. As for the other stuff that's been happening in my life, well, let's see. Last Tuesday, we switched internet and cable providers. For about the last 7 years or so, we've used comcast for both our cable and internet. Well, first it was mediaone which changed over to A T and T broadband which finally switched over to comcast. Well, we found out that verizon fios is available in our area, so, last Tuesday, we made the big switch. I must say that I'm pleased so far. The only drawback is that some of the channels I like to watch are numbered differently so I'm going to have to figure out what's what. Thank God for the zap2it website which gives me my TV listings and channels. I've also found that I have a new guilty pleasure. For lots of you, this show is probably old hat, but, I've recently started getting in to the various law and order shows like Special Victims Unit and just the regular law and order shows. The one I wish they'd have kept around longer was Law and Order Trial by Jurry, but, unfortunately, it only stayed around for one season. Other than that, I've just been watching lots of American Idol, and, of course, working. I've also been spending loads of time with [info]toonhead who I've managed to somehow turn into a country music fan. I'm not quite sure how it happened, and, he hasn't quite gotten to where he likes it nearly as much as I do, but, we're getting there. We've been doing a lot of reading and listening to a lot of radio dramas, in particular, the CBS radio mystery theater series. I love those dramas, and, I've actually found a website where I can order the entire series, but, it's on CD, and, I really don't have room for all those CD'S. So, all and all, life is awsome, and, I really will update this thing more often.

    I've made a decision
OK first, I want to say that I'm not trying to hurt or upset anyone with this decision, and it's nothing against any of you personally, but, I've decided that, if I'm following you, both on twitter and here on LJ, and, if you don't place your tweets behind cuts, I'm going to be unfriending you. Like I said, this does not apply to everyone on my friends page who posts their tweets here, it only applies to those of you that I'm following both here and on twitter. If you post your tweets to your LJ and I don't follow you on twitter, then you're safe. If I follow you here and on twitter and you put your tweets behind LJ cuts, you're safe. If I'm following you both places and you don't put your tweets behind cuts, sorry, but I just really don't have time to read the same thing twice. This doesn't mean I won't still talk to you folks, I just don't have time to read the exact same thing in two different places, especially since I only have the evenings to catch up on LJ, twitter, and facebook. I really don't need duplicates.

thoughts on this week's American Idol
I haven't done these in awhile, and, since I feel like writing, I figured I'd pop in here and give my thoughts on this week's American Idol. They're doing things a bit differently this year. Rather than separating the groups into guys and gals, they're separating everyone into three different groups of twelve to get the top nine, and, there will be a wild card competition on the fourth week where three more will be selected to round out the top twelve. All I will say about this week's batch of twelve is this. Just because you like a song doesn't mean you have any business singing it. That's what seemed to happen a lot this week. People sang the songs they liked, not necessarily the songs that best suited their voices. I must that, for the most part, I was very pleased with the three that were picked for the top twelve. Danny absolutely rocks. I love his voice. Michael, the second guy that was selected has a hot speaking voice, though I haven't quite made up my mind on how I feel about his singing. As for Alexis, the female that made it through, I'm actually pretty mixed on her. She's got an awsome voice, but, I could not stand the song she sang. I've never been a huge fan of Aretha Franklin, or, as I like to call her, Urethra Franklin. But, she does have a good voice. The one thing that concerns me is that every time she's sang, like in her original audition as well as in last night's performance, she chose songs by Aretha. I get that she likes that particular artist, but, for me, I like to see some variety where song selection is concerned. In other words, don't sing stuff by the same artist, it gets old and tired after awhile, plus, I'm always one who likes to see someone broaden their musicle horizons. I'd say the biggest flop of the night last night had to be a toss up between a contestant singing Taylor Swift and a female contestant who decided to take on the Police. Bad move if you ask me. But, it's not terribly hard to mess up Taylor Swift, heck, I'd love to hear what Mr. Simon would have to say about her singing. Somehow, I don't think he'd like it. OK, I'll stop rambling now. Am off to snack on some cheesecake that I made the otehr night, it was fantastic if I do say so myself. Talk to y'all later.

    A randomly curious question
OK, so I want to preface this by saying that I'm not asking this to cramp anyone's posting style. I'm more asking this out of curiosity because I Genuinely want to know. Why do some people post their twitter happenings in their LJ? I guess my thinking, and, here again, this is not a complaint, just my thoughts, but, my thinking is that if I wanted to follow a person on twitter, I'd go follow them over there. I do not mind reading people's tweets, not at all, I actually find them amusing, but I just wonder why people do this. Because, a lot of times I see tweets getting posted to LJ that are responses that someone made in their own twitter that's a response to someone else's twitter, so, if you're not following said other person on twitter, it makes absolutely no sense to read that tweet in their LJ. Don't worry, I'll keep reading y'all's tweets who post them, but, if I ever seem befuttled, it's probably because I'm only hearing one end of the conversation. It kind of reminds me of when my mom would talk on the phone and I was only hearing one end of her conversation, Lol! Alrighty, going away now before all you tweeters start throwing tomatos at my journal.

    about my annoying cousin
OK, as promised in my last entry, here's the scoop on my annoying cousin. Yeah, I know, I know, we're supposed to be family and all, and it really probably isn't cool to write stuff like this, but ah well. My cousin Brandi is the youngest of three kids. She's 19-years-old, she'll be twenty in July. Her parents divorced when she was like 4 or 5, I believe, so, I'll admit that the divorce probably had some effect on why she is the way she is. But this young lady is one of the most monipulative people I've ever come across in my entire life. A few years ago, she and her mother weren't getting along. OK, it happens, besides, Brandi's always been a daddy's girl, so that kind of makes sense. So, she went and moved in with her dad who lives about three hours away from where she lived at the time with her mom. Well, all went OK for awhile until Brandi and my uncle, which is her father, got into some random argument over some typical teenaged thing. OK, I get that, most teenagers do argue with their parents from time to time. So what does Brandi do? She plays monipulator and calls her mother and says she wants to move back in with her. Now, I'll totally admit that a lot of this is her parents' fault, because, you guessed it, instead of her mother making her stick to the decision to stay with her father, even though things weren't necessarily perfect, her mom came rushing down to Kansas City to take Brandi home with her. Again, things went well for awhile, until there was, yet another fight between Brandi and her mother. She moved back to Kansas City with her father, which, thank God, is still where she is as of now. Basically, what she does is takes full advantage of the fact that both parents are pretty much vying for her affection or whatever you want to call it so they play right in to whatever she's doing. So, we fast forward to Christmas, or, I should say, the week before Christmas, when, my family was having it's yearly get together with my mom's side of the family. Now, one thing you have to understand is that my grandparents live on a farm which is about three hours away from my parents' house. Now, we already knew that we were going to have to work around Brandi's work schedule for the family gathering because she had to work that afternoon at three. Why she couldn't have asked for the afternoon or evening off is beyond me, but I do know she didn't even try. Anyway, that morning, my grandma called my mom and said that she and my grandfather would be late because they had a cow who was about to have a calf, and, because the weather was so cold, they needed to stay and make sure that the cow and the calf were safely in the barn and didn't freeze to death. So, my mom called my uncle Bruce and asked him if there was any way that he and his wife could take a separate car from Brandi instead of them all coming together, that way Bruce and Crystal wouldn't be in a big mamith hurry to leave, even if Brandi did have to go earlier, and he was totally uncooperative about the hole thing, saying that Brandi didn't know how to get to my parents' house on her own. OK, the kid has internet access and mapquest is your friend. Then, as if that wasn't enough, while everyone was there, we found out that Bruce and Crystal were having their Christmas the following Sunday with Brandi and her other brother and sister, and, once again, they were having to work around Brandi's work schedule. What gets to me is that my cousin Jennifer, which is Brandi's older sister, point blank told my mom that if it were either her or her or their other brother, Jeffrey, they'd be told when Christmas was going to be, and, if they had to work, that'd be just too bad, but, if Brandi has to work, all of a sudden, everyone's schedule has to be changed. So then, a couple weeks ago, I was talking to my mom, and, wonder of wonders, Brandi is pregnant! Now, I've read her blogs and stuff over on myspace, and, the girl is a party animal, and, she's not ready to have a child, she just isn't ready at all! So, lord help that poor child, and lord help Brandi's parents, because I'm sure, like everything else, she'll make the child some sort of monipulation tool. The sad thing is, her parents will allow it.

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth
I guess I just haven't had anything earth shattering to write about, Lol, so that'd explain why I've been so quiet lately. I guess the most eventful thing I've done over the past couple months is that I went home for the holidays. My job actually gave me a good amount of Christmas vacation this year, and I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come. I went and saw my family, which, I think I mentioned in an earlier entry, was something that I planned to do. I also got to do something this year that I haven't gotten to do in years. When I was a teenager, I started atending a caroling party. This party is the absolute bomb. Basically, what we do is go around to different places such as nursing homes and various places that house shut ins and sing holiday carols. Yes, I did say holiday, not Christmas. Now, those who really know me know that I'm not one to not use the word Christmas when it suits me, but this truly was a holiday caroling party because we sing carols from all of the various winter holidays. Well, because of my job and the fact that they normally don't seem to know how to grant vacation time at Christmas, I hadn't gone caroling in years. But, this year, at long last, I was finally able to go. I had a blast, and, I'd like to hope that everyone else that went had just as good a time as I did. While I was home, of course, we had to have Christmas with all of the different sides of the family, including a Christmas gathering with my mom's side of the family which included spending time with my atention-loving younger cousin, but I won't go into all the details about her in this entry, she demands an entry of her own, Lol, which I'll probably write sometime either this evening or tomorrow. I finally, after years of not doing it, got to sing a solo at my parents' church for Christmas Eve service. I sang Breath of Heaven Mary's Song, and it went surprisingly well. I was a bit nervous since I haven't sang in public for so long. The vacation was great, but went by way way way too quickly. Since then, it's been back to work for me, back to the usual grind, and, oh yes, American Idol is on again, so life is happy. I really will try to do better about updating this crazy thing and not just when I want to shamelessly plug something, Lol! Well, must run, Idol calls.

    question for the masses
Why, for the love of Bob, whoever Bob is, does everyone make such a huge deal about Taylor Swift? I've never been a big fan of hers, but I just saw her on the CMA awards, and, she sang her song with all the emotion of a fence post. But, she's the darling of the industry, and, in most eyes, she can do no wrong. I just don't get it. She sounds like she's utterly bored out of her gord! I guess I'm just not up on the ways of modern music, but, if that were true, then I'd have no love for either Brad Paisley or Keith Urban, so, guess I'm just not into little teenaged girls who can't sing.

    some thoughts and a question
OK, so I normally don't write political entries because I'm not a political person, but I just need to get some of my thoughts out about this year's election, but, first, I have a question for anyone who might know. When I was watching the news on Election day, they kept talking about how Obama needed 270 electorial votes to win the election. That's how they were able to call him as the winner even though all of California's votes hadn't been counted yet. So my question is this. If it takes 270 electorial votes to win an election, then where does the popular vote factor in? Hopefully, someone will know, and, if not, I'll ask my dad, who was a social studies teacher. Now, here are my thoughts. I want to say right up front that I do not mean to upset or offend anyone with what I'm about to say. These are just my own personal thoughts and please understand that I don't mean to offend anyone and know that I respect whatever decision any of you might have made about your voting decision. I've heard a lot of talk, and, it's understandable, but I've heard a lot of talk about what an historical election this is because Obama is the first black president. Yes, I do agree that this is important, and, I'm not in any way trying to undermind the importance of that. But, and there's really no way to say this gently, but I'm almost getting the impression that a lot of people voted for Obama just so that history could be made. I've noticed this in particular amongst African-Americans. I work in a primarily African-American office. So, it's not uncommon for me to hear my co-workers listening to talk show hosts that cater to the African-American audiance. Let me just say right up front that I have no problem with this. They've got every right to listen to those shows. Naturally, the hosts of these shows were highly encouraging listeners to vote for Obama. Again, I have no problem with this in principle, but, I sort of disagree with the way it was being done. I got the distinct impression that these guys were encouraging their listeners to vote for Obama soully because he is black. Sure, I can understand the wanting to create history, I have no problem with this. What I do have a problem with is that never once were issues such as foreign policy, the economy, healthcare, or any of the other hot issues brought up. And I really got the distinct impression that, for the most part, most of my co-workers have absolutely zero idea where Obama stands on anything, nor do they seem to care, and that's the sad part. It forces me to ask this question. If Bush, yes, good ole George Bush were black, would we have had the same situation? Remember, for purposes of this question, we're talking same Bush, same politics, same policies, same everything, just in a black man's skin. Most of the people I work with hated the Bush administration, but, would they have hated it if Bush had been a black man? I really do believe that we can vote for a person for whatever reason that we choose, even if it's because they're just a candidate that we can relate to in terms of race or gender, but, I think that we also should be making the decision based on the fact that we're given all the facts. My thinking is that if someone listens to the mainly black media, for lack of a better term, and they also balance it out with learning the facts and they decide for themselves that the issues aren't so important and that they'd rather vote based on race, then hey, I say more power to them. But at least they're making the decision based on the fact that they made an informed decision after looking at all the available facts. I'm not saying that I either agree or disagree with the election results, these are just some thoughts and questions that I have going through my head. We hear all the time how important it is for blacks and other minorities to vote. My only hope is that they haven't voted, and then later become disenchanted with the winner because they realize he doesn't follow their value or belief system and that that doesn't discourage them from continuing to vote in the future. OK, I'm done rambling, my head is tired and I'm off to bed now.

    a touchy situation
I don't normally do this sort of thing, but, I find myself in a bit of a situation, and, I'm actually looking for some advice on how to handle it. This could get lengthy, so, sit back, relax, and enjoy. I don't know if I've ever written about him here, but I used to have a really good friend that worked with me named Chip. For the longest time, I thought Chip was a great guy, a sort of combination of a father figure as well as a sort of big brother. Back in 2004, he and I lived in apartment complexes that were right across the street from one another. At the time, I was dating Jesse. Jesse had gone to Lions World in Arkansas, and, I have to say that Chip really looked out for me while he was gone. We went out for breakfast almost every weekend, and I'd walk to church with him every Sunday. We were just really good friends. Well, since then, Chip has moved on to a different job. He's actually working down at Lions World now as an IRS instructor teaching collections class. OK, that's just to give a little background. A couple years ago, I think it was back in 2005, we got a new employee at our call center who had trained at Lionsworld. This guy's name was Ron. I never knew Ron very well, but he was always nice enough to me. I'd heard he had a sort of strange side and that not everyone got along with him, but I'd never had any real personal dealings with him. Well, at some point, he wound up getting married. Also, at some point, he supposedly became abusive twoards his wife, or, that's what I was told at the time. From what I was told, his wife, who knew Chip from the time that they were both at Lions World, went and temporarily stayed with Chip. Well, she wound up going back to Ron which isn't that unusual, a lot of women in abusive relationships go back to their abusers. From what I was told at the time, Ron and his girlfriend then began to harrass Chip, sending him nasty e-mails and leaving him filthy messages. They even went so far as to leave filthy messages on the voice mail boxes of some of our upper management at work, which, ultimately, got Ron fired. From what I remember, Ron was fired back in either 2006 or 2007, I can't remember exactly when it happend. Because Ron and I had never really been close, it really wasn't something I thought about very often. It wouldn't have even crossed my mind if Chip hadn't e-mailed me the other day, asking me who all still worked in the office. Now, our office has at least 200 employees, so I told him he was going to have to narrow it down just a bit. He finally told me that he was specifically looking for Ron because he felt he needed to make amends with Ron because he'd wronged him. I actually have the e-mails that he sent me, but I refuse to violate his or anyone else's privacy by posting them here. I think that's just wrong. It's one thing to forward stuff, but actually posting messages that are only intended for you is just rude, so sorry, you won't be treated to the specifics. The bottom line short story version of all this is that he basically admitted to me that the hole Ron thing never happend. Basically, Ron's woman did stay with Chip, she went back to Ron, Chip got jealous because he wanted Ron's woman, so he framed Ron so Ron would get fired. He even went so far as to leave those messages, posing as Ron in a drunken stooper and sent e-mails to himself, saying that they were from Ron. In other words, Ron got fired for doing absolutely nothing. He also mentioned something in the messages about having Ron beat up. Now, I know the solution seems obvious. Send the e-mails to management at my job, and, in a perfect world, that's exactly what I'd do, but, there's one small problem. Chip has a prison record. As in, he's actually done time in the pokey. I really thought he'd turned his life around, but I guess I was wrong. My thing is, what garuntee do I have that if I turn him in that he won't have someone come after me, if he's devious enough to do this sort of thing to a co-worker, he can do anything. Any thoughts would definitely be appreciated. If you've read this far, you deserve a metal of honor!

This will probably tick a few people off so I oppologize in advance
OK, first off, I want to say that this entry has nothing, I repeat nothing to do with how I feel about politics in general, but, I swear, if one more Obomma supporter either comes to my door or calls my home, I am going to scream and tell them exactly where they can stuff their campaigne. I'm sorry, but this is bordering on harrassment, and, it's beginning to remind me of the Jehova's Witnesses, and I'm not exagerating. For the last three weekends, they've been going around from door to door at my apartment complex. Then, today, they called my house. Granted, I have an unlisted number and have had one for years, but they sure knew who they were looking for when they called. I feel the same way about these people as I do about religious fanatics who go around from door to door. My mind in these kinds of decisions is usually pretty well made up for one. For two, that's a personal decision and it's really no one's business, especially not some random stranger I don't know. And three, I don't mind you asking once, but coming every single weekend is rediculous! OK, back to your regularly scheduled life.

Wow, she really hasn't fallen off the face of the earth!
I know, I know, it's been ages since I've written an actual update, so, here I am. Don't all gasp and drop dead at once. I really don't feel like being responsible for anyone's death, Lol! I'll give you all a breef summary of the last few months, believe me, I won't bore you all with all the little details, but I'll give y'all the simple and short story. I think the last time I actually wrote an update in this thing, Jesse wasn't living here. To make a long story short, the evil relationship of doom ended, just as I suspected it would, but, Jesse had to learn for himself that it wasn't the right situation. He's back now, and, the funny thing is that now that the X is the X, she and I can actually somewhat get along. Don't get me wrong, we'll never be best friends, but she and I can actually have a conversation that doesn't involve one of us calling the other one filthy evil explatives. The break up happened back in May, I believe it was over memorial day weekend. In fact, I know that's when it was because it was the Friday after the final episode of American Idol. Yay for David cook winning, by the way. Sorry for those of you who liked the other David, but, David Cook went to my high school. He was a freshman when I was a senior so yayness and stuff. My summer was pretty uneventful. I didn't take any vacations. I'd actually thought about going home to see my parents, but, I got all but one day of a week's worth of vacation. I was denied the Wednesday of my week of vacation because we had what's called shut down day or employee training day so no one's leave for that day was aproved, so, it was just easier to hang out here and just relax and enjoy not having to mess with airport hastles. Oh, just for the record, I am now the proud owner of a victor reader stream, and, it rocks. I love being able to download NLS talking books and read them at work. My friend Molly also has a stream, but I don't think she realized until the other night that you can actually download the NLS books, so, I'm going to help her with getting that set up if she needs it. Other than that, life's been pretty uneventful. I've just been living and working, and, of course, waiting for the holidays to get ehre. Did I ever mention how much I love making Christmas cookies and listening to Christmas music? I actually get to go home this year for eleven days, I can't wait. It'll be my only visit with the family, but I think it's long enough that it'll make up for the couple smaller visits that I normally get in during the year. Oh, and, before I forget, does anyone on the F list know how to create tags for LJ posts? I'm in a community that requires them and I have no idea how to do them. OK, I'm outta here, but I promise to update a lot more often.

    Shameless plug time!
    Hey folks!

I do not normally do this kind of thing and I promise you all that I'm not going to start any kind of trend with this post. But, if you all could pass this info around, I'd greatly appreciate it. Even if it doesn't interest you, it might just interest someone you know. No, this is not a forward that promises gloom and doom if you don't post it and life long happiness if you do post it, all you'll gain is much happiness and appreciation from one little person on your friends list. OK, so, with all of that out of the way, here goes. As some of you here know, last year, I started doing internet broadcasting, which, has become a definite passion for me. Over the last few months, I've broadcasted on a few different stations. But now, along with two other people, I'm starting my own station, so, I guess I should say, we're launching our own station. We're set to launch this Friday night at 7 PM eastern time. There will be six of us in one house, playing a little of this and a little of that and, of course, taking requests from listeners over MSN messenger. To get in on the action, go to

    http://www.2020theblink.net

There'll be a link to tune in and then you simply select the player of your choice. To interact with the DJ'S on the station, add
music@2020theblink.net to your windows or MSN messenger. Even though we're not launching until Friday, we're still adding people to MSN messenger. The website already contains our schedule as it stands right now as well as an application to become a DJ if that's what floats your boat. So, all y'all be good little minions and tell your friends and enemies about this, and, maybe, just maybe, you'll get an actual update out of me. Thanks all!

    An update and a question
    Hi everyone,
First, I will ask the question, so that way if there are any of you who aren't interested in reading my babbles you don't have to, Lol, although I'd like to think that this entry will be somewhat interesting. But here's the question. A couple of years ago, I used to have an indoor fountain. The cool thing about this fountain was that it also doubled as a sound machine. It had these really cool nature sounds, like crickets and loons and chymes and things like that. Well, needless to say, the thing went bust on me and I've never been able to find anything quite like it. For that matter, I've not even been able to find a decent indoor fountain. There were a couple that I tried out, but they were all these indoor rock garden type fountains where the main atraction was the rock garden and the fountain was just sort of there for window dressing and you could barely hear the fountain. What I'm wondering is if any of you know where I can find a decent sounding indoor fountain, preferably with nature sounds, but if not, just a decent fountain that you can actually hear the water on. I'd appreciate any help any of you might be able to give me with this. Now, for the update. This week has actually been fairly eventful. Earlier in the week, my friend Christy came into town. If any of you have been following this journal, I mentioned her last year when she and Molly and I all hung out in Atlanta. Well, she came to Richmond this week for some job training, so on Wednesday, she came over and hung out with us and watched the American Idol results show. Jesse also came over and hung out because he and Christy have been friends for years. We all had a blast just hanging out and chatting, and, of course, I was so so happy with the Idol results show. I don't know if I've mentioned it here before, but David Cook, one of the final two contestants, went to my high school. Don't get me wrong, I never actually met him, he was three years behind me, but my mom has my senior yearbook and his Freshman picture is in it, so that's way cool. So that was my Wednesday night. Then Thursday, a bunch of us went to Bottoms Up Pizza, which is this totally awsome pizza place here in Richmond. We were celebrating Jesse's birthday which is actually on Sunday, but Thursday was just the best night for everyone to get together, and the neatest thing happened. We'd just finished dinner and dessert, and our server came over to our table. Earlier in the evening, she'd done the typical waitress thing and told the entire restaurant, or, the part that was near our table that it was Jesse's birthday. Well, she told us that someone had bought our dinner, they'd bought the dinner of everyone at the entire table and there were like six of us eating, and Bottoms Up isn't a cheap place to eat. We asked to thank him but he did not want to be recognized, so I just thought that was the neatst thing, you hear about that sort of thing happening, you even read about it on those sappy e-mail forwards, but to actually see and experience it is something totally different. Then today, I went with [info]jade2006 and [info]toonhead to this restaurant called Friendly's. They're best known for their ice cream, but their food isn't half bad either. I had meatloaf, mashed potatos, corn, and a chocolate ice cream cone. It was so good! Wow, I don't think I've written this much in ages, so if you've made it to the end, you deserve a metal. So, I'm outta here for now. Take care, and, if you think of it, toss Mr. David Cook a few votes after Tuesday night's Idol, I want my home tow guy to win sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo badly!
